Preamble

We,the member of ALPHA KAPPA RHO condoles the need of establishing and embody our ideas, promotes our welfare, develop and conserve the spirit and practice of a good citizenship in accordance with new society, establish a closer relationship between the students of different schools throughout the world, secure our selves the solemn and humiliation of goodness and equality of a lasting unity and cooperation do hereby adopt, promulgate and dedicate this constitution.

AKP: Our Mission

48 Years of AKP Tradition

The Skeptron´s Mission is to offer the fraternal experience, focusing on personal character development through leadership, scholarship, community service, and the attainment of positive social experiences. It likewise works to advance true fraternal ties imbued with respect, courtesy, understanding, and love among fellow Skeptrons.

Our vision is for the advancement of a just and humane society, always seeking the truth, enjoyment of peace, harmony, and goodwill with other fraternities.

August 8, 1973, at the University of Santo Tomas,

ALPHA KAPPA RHO Service Fraternity and Sorority exist to create a bridge so many weaknesses joining together will form one solid strength. Our organization was founded by senior founding fathers (in alphabetical order) Brods/FF:

On August 8, 1973. The junior founders, Brods Jun Pasaporte and William Ho, founded the juniors in 1975 at the University of the East along with senior founding sorority sisters,

in Tepi of UST in 1975. The organization's seed has been planted, and the need became clear for a formal structure to contain the mutual feelings among members.

The ALPHA KAPPA RHO (AKRHO)service fraternity and sorority have always been and always will be an organization steeped in the traditions and dedicated to the pursuit of humanitarian brotherhood and sisterhood.

The organization comprises men and women from all cultures, religious backgrounds, and interests; it has spread throughout the archipelago and throughout the world. We do not discriminate based on race, disability, creed, political beliefs, sexual preference, etc. We maintain loyalty and unity while we strive for patience, perseverance, and pride.

The organization was registered with the SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION as and non-profit and non-dividend corporation.

The ALPHA KAPPA RHO was the first HUMANITARIAN Organization to be chartered independently from its mother country.

GONZALO ‘JUN’ PASAPORTE AND THE ALPHA KAPPA RHO JUNIORS

The first AKP Junior Recruit was the late Brod Rey Quitoriano, recruited by Brod Gerry Zaguirre, as he was a former schoolmate at the Notre Dame of Manila High School, where five of the Founding Fathers also graduated. Brod Rey was then interviewed and scheduled for initiation by the 1975 UE Skeptron officers led by GS Pykes Oppus, VGS Bong Carandang, Bros Gerry Zaguirre, Jun Mayuga, Augie Fabian, Ching Mendoza, William Ho and others.

Brod Rey survived and then started recruiting high school students. Asked why HS students, he said "they are my classmates".

Surprise and shock followed to learn that he was still in high school as he was already in his early 20's.

Anyway, his recruits which included Bros Jun Pasaporte and Noriel Arcadio, already survived the initiation process on July 26, 1975 and then also started recruiting more members. Initially rejected by the Mother chapter, as our name then was Alpha Kappa Rho Intercollegiate Service Fraternity, not high school; they formed the Delta Kappa Rho fraternity.

A few months later, the mother chapter relented and gave approval for their integration into the AKP. Delta Kappa Rho was deleted and then became officially known as the AKP Juniors.

The first AKP Junior Chapter was founded by Brod Jun Pasaporte at the UE Manila HS Dept. with him as the first elected junior GS. Brod Jun Pasaporte is also credited as a factor in the phenomenal increase in our membership as he was loyal and hardworking to our beloved AKP.

In fact, he was very devoted and zealous of our AKP FFs and doctrines as proven by his recruits several decades ago who up to now still embodies the ideals and visions of our founding fathers. That’s what you call: tama ang aral, tama ang pagpapalaki.

Never did I hear then of news about skeptrons fighting and disrespecting other Skeptrons, not like the present times and I wonder if he were still alive today, I am sure he will be the first one to chastise these new breeds of Skeptrons.
